Lebanon, the beautiful land war torned a few times.
I was fortunate to visit this small country in the Middle East in Nov 2005.
I was so fascinated by its beauty that I returned again for another trip after visiting my god family in Turkey.
Signs of Civil war & the Green Line could still be seen. Buildings with bullets holes remind us of the importance of living & harmony among each other.
I visited many places there like Beirut, Anjar, Tyre...
I was supposed to visit again my friends there in Aug 2006 when I attended weddings in Czech Republic & Turkey & continued backpacking to the Eastern Europe but the war between Hezbollah & Israel dampened my intention. The road that the taxi took me from Damascus in Syria to Beirut in Lebanon was heavily damaged by Israeli bombings & the airport was not spared too.
I am worried with my friends there as I have lost contacts with them. My phone calls to their mobile phones could not go through. I hope they are safe with their family.
May GOD Bless Lebanon & her Beautiful people...
